As a guitarist he worked amongst others with The Flemish Radio Orchestra, Prometheus Ensemble, and the European Broadcasting Union Jazz Orchestra. Shortly after his Jazz-guitar and composition studies at the Antwerp Conservatory of Music he won the Internationaal Composition Concours of Helmond with his own quartet. As solo performer he does live gigs with his guitar/live electronics project 'extended-guitar improvisations' (note the'-' placement). He also appears as soloist in 'Stacked Time' on the CD 'Symphonic Works' by Luc Van Hove.

His musical output covers a broad scope stylewise, ranging from experimental electronica to mainstream pop songs or contemporary Jazz. Jazz-improvisation with live electronics, post-tonal composition techniques, polyrhythmic structures characterize many of his musical creations, but he regularly returns to straightforward lyricism in his songs. He wrote music for several musictheatre pieces, in wich traditional instrumentations are confronted with electronica.

In his installations he investigates the tension between the constructive principles that govern music as well as the visual arts. This results in interactive video works, sound installations, and combinations of these with moving physical objects. Since 2005 he forms an artists duo with Erki De Vries. Generative processes and interaction with the environment permeate most of these installations. Given his musical background the ephasis on sound is often prominent.
