Erki de Vries and Tim Vets:
City Lights II
2005, september SUPER!, Triennial for Fine Arts, Fashion, and Design, Hasselt
Rotation, reflections, combinations, evolving processes, displacement. Transposition in the auditive dimension is juxtaposed to rotation in space. The application of combinations is treated as an independant entity that works both visually and musically. The construction that emerge from this communicate with the surrounding enviroment. Structured sound is created as an evolution process. Auditive space is sculptured by bringing impulses in feedback with themselves.
'A poetic installation in wich light-and sound sources move though space. The state of the elements that make up the work is closely related to the events in the space itself. The installation feeds on input from the surroundings and is submitted to constant changes. In this sense the installation acts as its own choreographer, constantly generating new movements and constellations.'
